This tea infuser/travel mug is perfect for the tea purist who travels. The thermos holds heat well. It fits into car mug holders. The interchangeable parts include a handy infuser, lid for drinking and water tight cover. I saw this product rated well in Good Housekeeping magazine and I agree. It's the best traveling tea infuser I've ever found.
The infuser works like a charm. I like the shape in my hand. For me, it would be perfect if the thermos could hold a bit more liquid without making it bulky.
The first is a cap with a drink-thru hole, insuring that it will not slop when in your car holder and you want to just grab for your java. This tumbler has excellent thermal abilities, keeping hot drinks hot for several hours, and ice is still unmelted twelve hours later. The next is a tea strainer for brewing without mess, even loose tea. It is extremely compact, so fits a purse or jacket pocket easily. The tumbler comes with three tops, all of which screw on for added safety. Finally there is the outer cap that works with either of the two other caps to insure that not one drop of liquid escapes when being transported. There are very few tumblers I would trust in my backpack, but this one simply does not leak.
As someone who is on the go most of the day, I really appreciate a good hot cup of coffee or tea and this cup is the answer. My drink will stay hot for hours and I never have to worry about any leakage.
I bought this specifically because I wanted something that doesn't leak. This typically would be a good thing, but I like to walk to work holding a nice warm mug to warm my hands.Hot beverages lasts for hours (hot for a few hours, still lukewarm after 6 or so), probably due in part to the "down side" of it not giving off very much heat.Compared to other mugs when drinking without any lid on, this ones much easier on the lips. Since this one actually said you turned it upside down to infuse, I figured it must actually be leak proof (instead of just claiming it like all the other ones I bought). Sure enough, it's leak proof. The only "down side" I can think of is that when I fill it with a scalding hot beverage, the outside never gets very warm. no jagged ridges. Still could be better in this area, but I've never seen a mug that has awesome sipping ability while the lid is off.
